The 31^st and 21^st Capilano went to Camp Byng for an Area Camporee organised by the 3^rd West Vancouver.

The camp had a Leave No Trace theme and was set on the north side of Camp Byng on the Sunshine Coast. Troops from across the North Shore were invited. More than 100 Scouts attended and the Venturers from the 3^rd West Van helped with the event organisation.

The Scouts camped at their own sites a few hundred meters away from their leaders. The sites were located in the trees around a central field where camp events took place.
