The 31st and 21st Capilano Scouts brought
their bikes to Alice lake.
We originally planned to visit Alouette Lake in Maple Ridge,
but as the camp grounds weren't yet open, we changed tactics and
went to Alice Lake (about 10km north of Squamish) instead.
There are four lakes in the area and we planned to cycle in a
loop visiting all four. Unfortunately, due to a mis-reading of
the map, we ended up cycling south instead of east. The resulting
trek involved lots of downhill trail cycling followed by lots of
uphill cycling - back up the same trail.
On the up-side, the weather held at least on the Saturday, even
if it did rain a bit during the night and the next morning.
